Procedure for Handling Complaints of Ethical Violations

The Editorial Board of the journal adheres to the principles of academic integrity and the standards of publication ethics, in particular the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Complaints are handled impartially, objectively and confidentially, with the right of all parties to provide explanations being safeguarded.

Complaints may be submitted by authors, reviewers, readers, members of the Editorial Board or other interested parties. The complaint must contain a clear description of the substance of the violation and, where possible, supporting materials.

The complaint review period is up to 30 working days from the date of receipt. In case of complexity, the review period may be extended with notification to the complainant.

The decision following review of the complaint is made taking into account all submitted materials and the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Depending on the nature of the established violation, the following measures may be applied:

• rejection of the complaint if it is unfounded;
• introduction of corrections to the publication;
• publication of a refutation;
• retraction of the article;
• refusal to publish the manuscript.

The Editorial Team reserves the right not to consider complaints that:

• do not contain sufficient information for review;
• fall outside the journal's remit;
• are submitted in an offensive, threatening or defamatory form.

The complainant is notified of the outcome of the review in the established manner.

All materials related to the consideration of complaints are reviewed and stored with respect for the principles of confidentiality.

 

Complaint Handling Procedure

1. The complaint is submitted to the editorial team in electronic form to: [email protected].
2. A preliminary assessment of its validity is carried out.
3. Where necessary, authors, reviewers, members of the Editorial Board and/or independent experts are involved.
4. The Editor-in-Chief makes the decision.
5. The complainant is informed of the outcome.

All complaints are handled confidentially in compliance with the principles of objectivity, impartiality and academic integrity.
