AI Policy
General Position of the Journal
The Publishing Department of the journal "Information Security of the Person, Society and State" does not consider scholarly manuscripts written using artificial intelligence (hereinafter — AI) and/or large language models (hereinafter — LLM). AI and/or LLM cannot be cited as the original source of information obtained or as the author (co-author) of a manuscript. Citing AI and/or LLM as an author (co-author) is not permitted.
For Authors
Authors (co-authors) bear full responsibility for the content, accuracy and originality of the manuscript materials, and for the correctness, completeness and accuracy of the information presented therein. Authors must indicate in their manuscripts cases of using AI and/or LLM, with reference to:
- the name of the tool;
- the nature of its use.
For Reviewers
Reviewers are prohibited from using AI tools to assess the content of an article manuscript or to formulate their review. The reviewer must treat the manuscript as a confidential document, the disclosure of whose content may infringe the author's rights. The reviewer is responsible for the content of the review.
Permitted Use
The Publishing Department does not object to the use by authors of AI and/or LLM as auxiliary tools in the preparation of an article manuscript, provided that such use occurs in full compliance with international standards of publication ethics, in particular the recommendations "Authorship and AI Tools" of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Restrictions for the Editorial Team
The Publishing Department must not upload a submitted manuscript or any part thereof into AI tools, in order to avoid breaching the confidentiality and proprietary rights of authors.
Consequences of Violation
Failure to comply with this policy may serve as grounds for rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript.
